BUILD Leaders in Action August

Our Mission & Movement

Updates from August

More than 120 leaders from Baltimore City and Baltimore County turned out at Greater New Hope Baptist Church to take the next steps toward our October 12 statewide action. The energy is building with commitments of more than 2000 people. We’re excited to pack out Morning Star Baptist Church and demonstrate the power of our people.

Baltimore residents are addressing vacant lots together, taking back their neighborhoods. BUILD supported leaders from the New Carrollton Ridge Association as they held a cleanup in August.

Training new leaders and helping current leaders grow is at the core of all the work BUILD does. We’re holding trainings in the county and throughout the city. Let an organizer know if you’d like to know about any upcoming sessions.

The North and Northeast communities are working hard to ensure their presence is felt at the October 12 statewide action. They’re strategizing about how to drum up excitement and get lots of their folks to Morning Star Baptist Church. We can’t wait to see them there!
